Sweden. Stockholm - October
As usual, I arrived in Stockholm by ferry from Finland. Though I do not have any photos of the ship here, trust me, it is the best small cruise I've ever seen. Pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a very convenient schedule allowing for two nights onboard and a half day in Stockholm. The buffet deserves special attention...but let's move on to Sweden.
The city center is brimming with narrow streets that possess a certain charm.

It's not uncommon to spot elderly women who bear a striking resemblance to Fröken Bock, the infamous mean nanny from Astrid Lindgren's book, "Karlson-on-the-Roof":
Speaking of Astrid Lindgren, her museum is now open in Stockholm. As a child, I owned a book about Karlson and was surprised to find the same illustrations from that very book displayed in various languages within the museum. I had always assumed that local artists had created them:
In any case, Stockholm remains a destination worthy of a visit, even for a half day:
