Greece. Kastellorizo - January

Kastellorizo is a charming Greek island located just across from Kas. It seems like this small village springs to life only when a boat arrives, whether it is from mainland Greece or from Kas:

There is a local grocery store on the island where you can buy hamon (pork meat), anise vodka, cheese, and other things to indulge yourself on your way back to Turkey.

Also, you can walk uphill to the Monastery and then to the airport. Surprisingly, Kastellorizo boasts a small airport that welcomes regular flights a few times weekly.
